Snow, SNow, SNOw, SNOW

We left San Diego on Sunday, not by boat but by plane for a change. Despite a pretty good snowstorm in Ontario, we managed to get to Toronto and to the hotel by 11:00 PM about 2 hours later than we thought. Lots of snow here and it looks like it will stay for Christmas so one last white Christmas for us for awhile. Cathy headed off for Belleville this morning after a lovely dinner with Larry and Melisa. It was nice to get together with them and have a great meal and good conversation. It may be some time before we get to see them again. We ad my folks with us last week and did the touristy things like the San Diego Zoo, drove out to the desert, etc. The one thing we didn’t do was go to Sea World. We went but they wanted $65.00 each for the day so we all said forget it. We did “Christmas” with mom and dad on Friday the 14t with a more or less traditional dinner (turkey legs and turkey wings), stuffing, sweet potato’s etc. A wonderful meal. Now to get through my last week teaching for awhile and my last dash with the course I authored for Learning Tree. I relinquished the authorship effective January 1st to concentrate on sailing and cruising. I figure that I can’t do the course justice if I am not available to teach it regularly. We plan to fly out the 28th to get back to San Diego and then head off for Mexico shortly after that. Between no and then is a drive to Belleville Friday night, Poltimore (north of Ottawa) to visit my brother and family (OK Karin and David). Back to Belleville on Monday for Christmas eve, Christmas day, off to Castleton (an hour west of Belleville) Boxing Day for more Christmas dinner with the other side of Cathy’s family and then off to Toronto the 27th to fly out first thing on the 28th. Wahoo, Christmas travel in the snowbelt!!
