A Slow News Day

The following are REAL headlines from New Zealand Today.  For more detail on her stories go Google news and search for stories from New Zealand

·         Kiwi Porn Star breaks nose falling off pole – Was Lisa’s pole dance to risky or risqué?

·         Fraudster uses disguises to evade police – in the story police are asking for information from anyone who has seen this person

·         Recession driving Sealord job losses – John Key (our prime minister)

o       Gee do you really think that the global downturn in the economy has resulted in job losses, go figure!

Not much else is happening here other than the fact that WINZ has finally agreed that living on a boat an renting a marina berth is just like living in a house or apartment and we are allowed an accommodation supplement, not much but every little bit helps.

We did go the boat show here on Thursday, more to meet up with friends than for any other reason.  Paul and Gina had flown up from Christchurch, the couple who graciously lent us their spare antenna tuner in the Marquesas last year.  Paul had a tough time health wise but is fully recovered and looks great.  They are flying back to French Polynesia in May to resume their cruise.  We also ran into Sally and Geoff from Grace.  The 4 us had a great lunch.  We will make every effort to catch up with everyone before they all take off for the islands in a few months.
